W. W. Grainger said this week its Q1 sales came to $3.6-billion, up 18.2 percent from the comparable period of 2021. Operating earnings of $534-million were up 49 percent from a year ago. Earnings amounted to $7.07 on a per-share basis, a 57.8 percent surge from 2021.
