Giant Tiger will hold a grand opening this weekend for its new 17,800-square-foot store in New Brunswick’s Madawaska Maliseet First Nation, near Edmundston. “We are proud to be the first store to feature a trilingual sign, which includes English, French, and Passamaquoddy-Maliseet language,” store manager Shawn Guerette boasted in a release. To celebrate the occasion, the store is making a donation to Fondation Bob Fife, a non-profit that helps local students with the cost of hot meals.
