The owners of Orillia Home Hardware Building Centre in the gateway to Ontario’s cottage country have a new store. Dean Smales is retiring after 34 years as dealer-owner of Dean’s Home Hardware in nearby Huntsville. A recent barbecue celebrated Smales’ career and raised funds for the Port Sydney Firefighters’ Association, where a staff member serves as a volunteer firefighter.
