Employees at a Philadelphia Home Depot have submitted a petition to form the retailer’s first store-wide union. In a filing with the National Labor Relations Board, the applicants petitioned to form a collective bargaining unit for 274 staff working in merchandising, specialty, and operations. The NLRB’s database shows no other such applications, though a group of Home Depot drivers affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters in 2019.
