Taiga Building Products reported sales for the third quarter ended Sept. 30 of $533.1 million, up 10 percent from $484.6 million in the same period last year. The increase was largely due to higher selling prices for commodity products. Net earnings for the quarter increased to $18.6 million from a loss of $5.2 million, due mainly to higher gross margin.
Sales for the nine-month year to date were $1,791.9 million, dipping from $1,807.2 million over the same period last year. Year-to-date net earnings were $78.9 million, compared to $82.4 million.
