Home Depot Foundation invests in skilled trades training

The Home Depot Foundation in the U.S. announced this week that it is making an “incremental” investment of $6 million to address skills trade training. The company said there are nearly 400,000 job openings in the trades south of the border.

“Diversifying our approach with additional entrepreneurship and scholarship programs helps ensure we’re reaching more communities with free training opportunities and creating sustainable change for the industry,” said Shannon Gerber, executive director of the Home Depot Foundation.
