CALGARY — Sears Canada officially opened a 240,000 square-foot fulfillment centre here last week to serve customers in Western Canada. The facility, which will create about 200 new jobs, will pick, pack, and ship items ordered through Sears Direct, which includes the retailer’s catalogues and e-commerce offerings. CEO and president Doug Campbell said the centre would be responsible for handling “everything but our big-ticket items,” the Calgary Herald reports.
