A strike has brought overtime work to a halt at the Port of Montreal. The Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 375 filed notice of the strike yesterday, just days after the resolution of a three-day port strike at the Viau and Maisonneuve terminals.
During this current partial strike, all Port of Montreal terminals will remain open, but longshore workers will not be working overtime. This could result in processing delays and a backlog of containers waiting to be handled.
