IKEA Canada recaps fiscal 2024

IKEA Canada logged $2.87 billion in sales for the fiscal year ended Aug. 31. During the year, the retailer focused on affordability, including paying the tax on second-hand goods in its stores to save customers what it considers an unfair double taxation. The retailer also offered 50 percent off restaurant dishes on Thursdays during the summer, driving food sales of $137 million, an increase of 11.3 percent from fiscal 2023.

(IKEA Canada’s head of sustainability, Heléne Loberg, is among our lineup of illustrious speakers at next week’s Hardlines Conference in the Charlevoix region of Quebec. Online registration has closed, but you can still contact Michelle Porter, senior manager of marketing and events, to secure your spot!).
