Walmart Canada today announced Venessa Yates would become its new president and CEO, with her appointment taking effect “in the coming weeks.” Yates has been with Walmart since 2016, most recently as SVP and GM of its Walmart+ loyalty program. Her career has also included positions at Walmart, Woolworths, and ALDI Stores.
At the same time, the company announced that Steve Schrobilgen is joining as its new COO for end to end, overseeing operations, supply chain, real estate, and format. He has been SVP, business unit leader for Walmart in the Western U.S. since 2023.
