NEW YORK — Walmart.com could match its online rivals’ prices in what’s already shaping up to be a hypercompetitive shopping season, according to the Associated Press. The retailer has previously matched only in-store prices but is looking to step up struggling U.S. sales during a slow economic recovery. A company spokesperson added that many managers have matched prices on a case-by-case basis before, in the name of customer retention.
