TORONTO — A new report says retailers who want to stay ahead of the pack during this lukewarm holiday shopping season should focus on cooperating with consumer brands, the Financial Post reports. Sales for the holiday retail season in Canada are expected to rise 3.3% according to an Ernst & Young forecast. Analysts for the firm suggested that by reaching exclusivity deals with top brands, retailers could lock down shoppers with brand loyalty.
