MINNEAPOLIS — Target will close 11 of its U.S. stores when the company’s fiscal new year begins February 1. The closures affect stores in Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, Illinois, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Texas. Although Target’s Canadian business continues to struggle, with president Mark Schindele admitting to ongoing inventory woes in a Report on Business interview, no closures have been announced here in spite of repeated analyst speculation.
