SEATTLE — As e-commerce competition heats up for the holidays, Amazon is offering its first exclusive mobile deals, according to the Toronto Star. After introducing Black Friday discounts almost a week early, the retailer confirmed that some merchandise will be available only through the mobile app on smartphone or iPad and not on the website. This year marks the first that more than half of online purchases on U.S. Thanksgiving Day will be mobile, according to an IBM survey.
