WINDSOR, Ont. — The declining value of the loonie will likely have an impact on cross-border shopping, the Windsor Star reports. In the wake of the federal government’s announcement of new powers of investigation for the Competition Bureau to thwart price-gouging, the Star visited Windsor-Detroit retailers to compare prices. “There is a bit of a dampening effect as the dollar goes down,” said Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce CEO Matt Marchand.
