VAUGHAN, Ont. — TIMBER MART, TIM-BR MART Group’s retail division, is sending the Peterborough Minor Petes hockey team, and winners of the annual TIMBER MART SharpShooter Contest, Scott and Ryder Perry from Peterborough, Ont., to the World Junior Championships. The TIMBER MART Sharpshooter Contest asked Canadians to share their love for hockey in a photo; photos of goals, practices, rinks, late night celebrations, and early morning practices were among the submissions. From October 15 to November 17 464 entries were received and voted on over 7,000 times by the public.
The Perrys selected the Peterborough Minor Petes team to make the trip with them to Montreal, Que., from December 28–30. They’ll enjoy a three-day trip and and get to watch three of the World Junior Championship games. Secondary prizes went to nine other finalists who each won a $500 TIMBER MART gift card.
