MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Walmart Canada said its sales have picked up although its profits fell in Q4, according to Report on Business. The sales spike is due in part to a greater market share in groceries, with sales of fresh foods reaching their highest level of the year in the final quarter. Overall fourth-quarter sales grew 4.1% while same-store sales rose 1.8%, but spending on e-commerce, discounting, and restructuring drove down operating profts by an undisclosed sum.
