Grainger’s Canadian operations up slightly

CHICAGO — Grainger’s second-quarter sales increased 1% to of $2.5 billion. Net earnings for the quarter increased 7% to $221 million and earnings per share increased 11% to $3.25. Sales for the company’s Canadian operations, Acklands-Grainger, were down 9% in U.S. dollars but were up 2% in local currency.
