ST JACOBS, Ont. — Home Hardware’s Cobourg, Ont., store is getting a new location in the new year, Northumberland News is reporting. The 70,000-square-foot building will bring together the current Home Hardware and Home Building Centre in a single storefront, beginning January 2. It will include a 5,000-square-foot outdoor living centre and several new amenities. The store’s history in the town dates to the 1930s, when it began as Cobourg Lumber. It joined the Home Hardware banner in the early 1970s and today is owned by Brad and Alana O’Neill and Joel and Val Curtis.
