Husqvarna edges above forecasts

STOCKHOLM — Husqvarna’s Q1 profit was slightly above estimates as pre-season demand kicked in earlier than in 2015. The Swedish outdoor equipment manufacturer’s operating profit rose to kr1.17 billion ($144 million) from kr1.11 billion the same time last year. A Reuters polls of analysts yielded a mean forecast of kr1.08 billion. Sales also narrowly beat the forecast, reaching kr11.4 billion.
