ST. JACOBS, Ont. — Home Hardware sponsored three categories in the 22nd edition of the Communities in Bloom National and International Awards Ceremonies, held in Regina last week. Trail, B.C., received the Home Hardware Community Involvement Award, which recognizes municipalities that establish cultural and natural heritage programs; participate in policy development on environmental issues; and promote community, neighbourhood, and individual programs and projects. Also in B.C., Castlegar won the Home Hardware Beauti-Tone Heritage Conservation Award for its work to preserve natural heritage within the community. Lambton Shores, Ont., was presented with the Natura Tidiness Award for its concentrated efforts to keep its parks, green spaces, streets and sidewalks litter-free.
