MINNEAPOLIS — Costs associated with expansion into Canada were cited as a factor in the 47% plunge Target’s net income took in the third quarter, even as the Canadian subsidiary showed signs of improvement. Now the parent company is looking to redirect inventory which was bound for the Canadian market but has failed to move off the shelves.
