TORONTO — Continuing its 50th anniversary celebrations, TIMBER MART held its seventh annual national buying show this week. More than 1,000 participants descended on the Toronto Congress Centre for the event, which featured a 60,000-square-foot show floor with more than 220 vendor booths and a range of displays and attractions. The show was preceded by the group’s National Dealer Meeting, and included an anniversary dinner and vendor awards ceremony. Displayed in the middle of the show floor was a print of a commissioned painting by Canadian artist Robert Bateman, a copy of which will be sent to each member dealer this year as an anniversary gift. The show floor was also home to TIMBER MART’s Store on the Floor, which featured merchandised displays of more than 2,500 SKUs of building materials and hardlines products.
