BOUCHERVILLE, Que. —RONA is buying the outstanding minority stake in Groupe Coupal Inc., a 99-year-old lumber and building materials store near Montreal. RONA will pay an undisclosed sum to the Doucet family, owners since 1971, for the remaining 49% stake. CEO Robert Sawyer said the “transaction is fully in line” with RONA’s consolidation goals.
