Canac will open its 32nd store in the province of Quebec on Jan. 13. Situated in Contrecoeur, 60 km northeast of Montreal along the St. Lawrence River, the store will become the fifth Canac location in the greater Montreal area. The store represents an investment of $20 million and will create 125 new jobs, Canac says. Canac is the largest family-owned home improvement retailer in Quebec, employing some 4,200 people. Its 2021 sales, according to the Hardlines Retail Report, were $1.3 billion.
