Canada ranks #3 in report that breaks down global DIY market

COLOGNE ― In 2018, the DIY home improvement world market turnover reached €594 billion, according to a new report produced jointly by European Federation of DIY Manufacturers and the Global Home Improvement Network. That’s an increase of 1.1% compared to the previous year. North America and Europe combined represent approximately 87% of this market, a combined €516 billion, while Canada ranks as the number-three market for home improvement spending worldwide.

Approximately 81% of the Global DIY market, some €482 billion, is concentrated in only eight countries: the U.S., Germany, Canada, Japan, U.K., France, Australia and Italy.
