3M Co. said this week its Q2 profits came to $78-million, or $0.14 per share. Adjusted for one-time costs, the manufacturer earned $2.48 per share. Revenues for the quarter were $8.7-billion. Those results topped Wall Street estimates of $2.41 per share on sales of $8.56-billion.
