Amazon tests delivery drones

NEW YORK — Amazon.com CEO Jeff Bezos has confirmed that the company is experimenting with a form of drone technology, known as octocopters, to make deliveries in a greener and timelier fashion. Though the project requires the approval of the Federal Aviation Administration, Bezos says it’s a matter of when, not if, and the devices could be launched in the next five years.
