AQMAT president seeks municipal office

Richard Darveau, president of the Quebec industry association AQMAT, has announced he is throwing his hat into the ring in Quebec’s municipal elections this fall.

He will seek election as warden of the regional county municipality of Les Pays-d’En-Haut north of Montreal, which includes the communities of Saint-Sauveur and Morin-Heights. If elected, he says, he will step down from his role at the helm of AQMAT.
