VANCOUVER ― The 15th Annual Wood Design Awards held this week at the Vancouver Convention Centre honoured the best projects of the past year, with 103 nominations in 14 categories. “We had a brand-new building code implemented in December of last year and that will allow a greater variety of taller and bigger buildings in wood,” said Lynn Embury-Williams, executive director of Wood WORKS! BC. “Some designers have been working on those buildings and they’ll be showcased.” More than 400 architects, engineers and developers attended the event.
