MONTREAL — Groupe BMR is a finalist for the Lowe’s Productivity Award at the 2017 Mercuriades. Created in 1979 and organized since 1981 by the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec, the Mercuriades recognize high performance in Québec companies across several categories. Since the Mercure awards’ inception, 600 companies have been named Laureates from more than 5,000 finalists. The Lowe’s-sponsored category honours companies that have improved productivity, including operational efficiency. BMR’s nomination recognizes its warehouse team, under the supervision of Sylvie Tardif, which has restructured operations to enable the company to serve twice as many dealer members after the acquisition of Groupe BMR by La Coop fédérée. Contest winners will be announced during the 37th Mercuriades Gala that will be held on April 24, 2017. (Shown l-r: Réjean Roy, Operations Manager, Patrick Rivet, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Jérôme Lessard, Transport Director, and Danny Bordeleau, Operations Assistant-Director.)
