RONA to close Newfoundland stores

SPECIAL REPORT ― As part of its move to close under-performing stores, Lowe’s Canada will close all its RONA corporate stores in Newfoundland and Labrador. The news was just announced to staff in the stores at the end of the day on November 4. The closings will take place by the end of January.

RONA currently has six corporate locations in the province, mainly in the St. John’s area, including a truss plant and regional support centre there. RONA also has a store in Bay Roberts and one affiliate dealer in Wabush, near Labrador City.
