Canac is investing $200 million in its expansion efforts over the next five years, including the opening of two new stores per year. This coming fall, it will open a fulfilment centre opposite Quebec City, on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River.
By 2025, the chain will have doubled the footprint of its Drummondville DC to one million square feet. “We also plan to invest in automatizing that centre because we want in the short term to be transactional online and deliver directly to our customers,” general director Martin Gamache told Le Journal de Québec.
