MONTREAL — Canada is proving to be a major headache to large retail banners, the Financial Post reports, including Walmart, Target, Sears, and Lowe’s. Each of these retail giants is sliding in the markets, according to a Desjardins Securities analyst. While Walmart has increased its Canadian square footage by 10%, it hasn’t seen commensurate gains, and all traditional retailers are taking a hit from the e-commerce boom, says Keith Howlett.
