Canadian Tire Corp. posted a net income of $223.6 million or $3.64 per share in Q2. It bounced back from a loss of $20 million ($0.33 per share) a year prior. Revenues rose by 24 percent from $3.16 billion to $3.92 billion. They fell short of analyst estimates of $3.98 billion.
In the Canadian Tire Retail segment, revenues rose by 27.1 percent. Comp sales declined by two percent, while eCommerce sales rose by more than 63 percent to a record-setting $856.7 million.
