Canfor Corp., the Vancouver-based forest products company, said last week that its Q1 loss was $142 million, or $1.17 per share. The company blamed falling lumber and lumber product prices. This compares to a profit of $534 million ($4.29 per share) in the same period last year. Revenue in the quarter was $1.39 billion, down 37 percent from $2.21 billion in the previous Q1.
