VANCOUVER — CanWel Building Materials said last week its Q2 revenues increased by 7.1 percent to $412.9 million, from $385.7 million during the same period in 2019. Despite the pandemic’s economic impact, sales for the distribution segment rose by $31.3 million or 8.4 percent. The year-over-year sales increase was attributed to improvements in both sales volumes and pricing. Net income for the quarter increased 62.8 percent to $12.7 million, compared to $7.8 million a year ago.
