There’s a brand-new building supply store in Woodstock, Ont.—but the business has roots going back to 1963. Husband-and-wife owners Jamie Adams and Tasha Birtch held a grand opening event for Adams Building Supply on Friday and Saturday. The 10,000-square-foot store represents a renaming and a new location for Adams’ and Birtch’s Allen Building Centre, which has been operating for 60 years in a more downtown location. The older location will be closed. The new Adams location a few minutes away features a lumberyard of four acres and a double-drive-through covered pickup area for contractors. Like its sister store in Shakespeare, Ont., it is a member of Castle Building Centres Group.
