A 38-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder after the body of Eliza Fletcher was found in a vacant Memphis apartment. Fletcher, a 34-year-old teacher at a private Anglican girls’ school, went missing during a morning jog last week, prompting a four-day search by police. She was a granddaughter of Joseph “Joe” Orgill III, president of Orgill Inc. from 1969 to 1980 and chairman of its board until 2005. Born Eliza Wellford, she married Richard Fletcher III in 2014.
