Members of the Canadian Hardware & Housewares Manufacturers Association voted at their AGM this week to approve a new name for the organization.
Over the coming months, it will gradually rebrand itself as the Canadian Home Products Trade Association (CHPTA) in English, or L’Association Canadienne du Commerce des Produits de Maison (ACCPM) in French. The move is intended to help grow the organization’s membership by appealing to a larger audience, including not only vendors but retailers, dealers, builders, tradespeople, suppliers, and end consumers as well as other industries and product markets.
