Costco Wholesale Corp. reported third-quarter revenues rose 21.5 percent to $45.28 billion, above estimates of $43.64 billion and buoyed by easing restrictions and stimulus spending. Comp sales rose by 15.1 percent, compared to an estimated increase of 11.46 percent. Net income for the quarter rose to $1.22 billion, or $2.75 per share, from $838 million ($1.89) in the comparable period of 2020. Analysts on average had anticipated earnings of $2.34 per share.
