Costco boosts year-end sales

ISSAQUAH, Wash. — Costco Wholesale reported net sales of $8.8 billion for the month of August, an increase of 10% from $8 billion during the similar period last year. For the fourth quarter, the company reported net sales of $34.8 billion, an increase of 9%from $31.8 billion last fourth quarter. For the fiscal year, the company reported net sales of $110.2 billion, an increase of 7% from the $102.9 billion reported in fiscal year 2013. Comparable sales for the quarter rose 6%.
