ATLANTA — Craig Menear, currently president, U.S. retail, for The Home Depot, has been named president and CEO, effective November 1. He has also been elected to the company’s board of directors, effectively immediately. Current chairman and CEO Frank Blake will remain chairman.
Menear, who was just named president, U.S. retail back in February, is a 34-year retail veteran and a longtime member of the Home Depot executive team. In addition to his role as chief merchant, Menear has overseen the company’s supply chain efforts, its rapidly growing online and private brand businesses, and marketing and global sourcing.
Blake has been Chairman and CEO of The Home Depot since 2007.
