UNIONVILLE, Ont. — Vaughn Crofford, outgoing president of the Canadian Hardware and Housewares Association, was given a warm sendoff last night at Angus Glen Golf Club. Dozens of CHHMA members past and present, along with a some retail buyers (including Mike Daniels, also recently retired, and Joel Marks of Home Hardware, still going strong), were on hand to offer their best wishes to Crofford as he enters retirement. Crofford was at the helm of the association for more than 20 years. Before that, he was at Federated Co-operatives, for a total of 52 years in this industry.
