Deal reached with Quebec construction workers

An agreement in principle between Quebec’s construction workers and employer groups has averted a strike in the sector. The dispute was concerned with the use of tracking apps to log time at job sites. While open to the technology, unions had expressed concerns about how the privacy of data would be collected. The parties are now ironing out an agreed approach to the question, but TVA Nouvelles reports that certain remaining details of the dispute will still be considered in arbitration.
