PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. — The surge in DIY projects will continue post-pandemic, according to new market research from The NPD Group. More than 40 percent of consumers indicated they have home improvement plans for after the public health crisis subsides. Moreover, about one in 10 have taken on home projects for which they would otherwise have hired a professional, including cleaning, landscaping, maintenance, repairs and remodelling.
