Walmart Canada’s Store 1033 in Edmundston, N.B., was recently named the retailer’s 2022 Store of the Year, beating out more than 400 stores across the country, the mass market retailer announced.
“It’s like winning the Stanley Cup at Walmart!” said Pierre Morel, store manager. The Store of the Year Award goes to the store that delivers “a consistent omnichannel shopping experience,” Walmart says, as well as achieving its performance metrics. Other criteria for the award include “driving process excellence,” inspiring and taking care of its employees, and “keeping the customer at the heart of its decisions.”
