SASKATOON — Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) has announced the appointment of Cody Smith to the position of Home and Building Solutions Director. He takes over from Tony Steier, who has retired from FCL.
Smith has been with the co-op for the past 15 years in a variety of buyer roles, most recently as category development manager. Smith began his career with FCL in 2003. In 2004, he was promoted to a buyer and oversaw a number of key categories. In 2013, Smith was named category development manager, where he assumed more leadership responsibility and became more involved in negotiations within Spancan.
