Gypsum Management & Supply has completed the acquisition of Blair Building Materials, Inc. Located in Maple, Ont., Blair has provided exteriors, insulation, and waterproofing products to the Greater Toronto Area since 1950. CEO Martin Lieberman is retiring but president Dante DiGiovanni will remain with the business, which will retain the Blair name while integrating with GMS’s Watson brand.
Meanwhile in Chicago, GMS has acquired Engler, Meier & Justus, Inc., a distributor of drywall, acoustical ceilings, and related interior construction products since 1962. Its brands include Westmont Interior Supply House and Contractors Acoustical Supply. Gary Wietecha, VP of operations, will continue to lead the business.
