ST. JACOBS, Ont. ― Andre Belisle, Dealer-Owner of JL’s Home Hardware Building Centre in Guelph, was awarded the 15th annual Paul Straus Public Relations Award during Home Hardware’s Fall Shareholders’ Meeting this week. The award recognizes Belisle’s commitment to public relations and community service in the city of Guelph. JL’s was cited for its innovative approach to fundraising and dedication to social causes. The store has partnered with Habitat for Humanity for its Capital Building Campaign, with the goal of helping the organization build 25 homes in five years. In addition, JL’s hosts charity barbecues to assist local organizations with their fundraising events and encourages residents to keep Guelph clean through their annual Clean ‘N’ Green promotion.
